Readers of all ages will dive into the ocean depths this summer as the K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library presents “Oceans of Possibilities” during their summer reading program. Enjoy a summer of reading and library programs and earn points towards weekly prize drawings. Download the library’s new reading app, READsquared and track your reading. There are mini-games, bingo cards and activities all available through the new reading app. Paper versions will be available at the library as well. Everyone is welcome to join in the summer fun!
Explore the wonder of coding using the popular Scratch programming language from MIT. There will be new challenges and projects each week. No prior programming experience is required, but students should be comfortable using a mouse, keyboard, and web browser. Registration is required. Due to limited space, please only register if you will be able to attend 6 of the 8 sessions. All Coding Club spots are full at this time. No program July 6th.
Bring your lawn chair or blanket this summer for our ocean and animal-themed Story Time! Story Time will be held in our outdoor area or inside depending on the weather. This program focuses on preschool-age children, but all ages are welcome. No registration required and caregivers are required to attend. No program on July 6th.
