[ARCHIVED] Concrete Road Repairs to Start Tuesday

Weather permitting, beginning Tuesday, September 4th, 2012 three areas in Aberdeen will experience vehicle traffic changes due to concrete surfacing repairs as follows:

NORTH DAKOTA STREET - Beginning at 8:30 AM North Dakota Street will be reduced to ½ width between St. Mary’s cemetery and 23rd Ave NE. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the construction process and both entrances to Holgate Middle School will remain open.
Motorists will experience slower travel and should be prepared for some minor delays, especially around 8:00 am, 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Work is expected to take 3-4 weeks to complete.

1ST AVE NE AND NORTH DAKOTA STREET - Beginning at 8:30 AM the east half of the intersection of 1st Ave NE and North Dakota Street will be closed to traffic. Traffic will be allowed south-bound through the intersection, but Dakota Street will be closed to north-bound traffic at the intersection. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route. Work is expected to be completed in 3-4 working days.

5th AVENUE NW - Beginning at 8:00 AM the 400 block of 5th Ave NW (near Schriver Memorial Mortuary) will be limited to one lane in either direction. Motorists should be prepared for reduced speeds and should expect some minor delays in passing through the construction area. Work is expected to be completed in 4-5 working days.
