[ARCHIVED] July 2nd starts new hydrant flushing areas

Beginning at approximately 8:00 on Monday, July 2, 2012, weather permitting the Aberdeen Fire Department will begin flow-testing fire hydrants in two areas in Aberdeen:

First Area: 12th Avenue SW to South City Limits - between 5th Street South and West City Limits,

Second Area: Lancelot Drive to Roosevelt Street – between 6th Avenue SE and North City Limits

The fire department will be opening hydrants and residents will experience some water pressure changes, and in some instances the water will be disturbed to the point of discoloring or appearing rusty. The project will continue until completed in these areas of the city until all hydrants have been tested. Any questions or problems can be reported to the Public Works Department at 626-7010.
