[ARCHIVED] Fire Hydrant Flushing continues

Beginning at approximately 8:00 on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, weather permitting the Aberdeen Fire Department will begin flow-testing fire hydrants in two areas in Aberdeen:

First Area: 6th Avenue SE to Railroad tracks - between South Roosevelt Street and east city limits,

Second Area: North 5th Street to west city Limits – between railroad tracks and North city limits

The fire department will be opening hydrants and residents will experience some water pressure changes, and in some instances the water will be disturbed to the point of discoloring or appearing rusty. The project will continue until completed in these areas of the city until all hydrants have been tested. Any questions or problems can be reported to the Public Works Department at 626-7010.
