[ARCHIVED] Fire Hydrant Flushing Continues

Beginning at approximately 8:00 on Friday, June 3, 2011, weather permitting the Aberdeen Fire Department will begin flow-testing fire hydrants in two areas in Aberdeen:

First Area: From the railroad tracks north to 15th Avenue NE between North Dakota Street and North Roosevelt Street

Second Area: 6th Avenue SE to 12th Avenue SE between South Dakota Street and South Roosevelt Street

The fire department will be opening hydrants and residents will experience some water pressure changes, and in some instances the water will be disturbed to the point of discoloring or appearing rusty.
