ARCC Music is cosponsored with the Aberdeen Area Arts Council. Traditional band and orchestra instruments, guitar and voice lessons are available for all ages. Lessons are taught by advanced level music majors attending NSU or qualified teachers from the community at large.
The school-year private lesson program runs September-May. The lessons are held in the ARCC music facilities. It is requested that beginning string students meet with the instructor.
Ages: All ages. (Some age restrictions may apply for younger students depending on the instrument of choice.)
Lesson Dates: Lessons will run September 11 - May 3
Fee: $72.00 plus tax per month (8 monthly payments). Fee does not include instruments, books, or supplies.
Financial Aid: Need-based financial assistance is available. Call 626-7015 for more information and guidelines.
Lesson Scheduling: Individual lessons are scheduled by staff in coordination with faculty and student schedules. The prime time for most lessons will be Monday through Thursday. Other times may be possible depending on availability.
Registration: Registration has begun, is ongoing, and will continue while lessons are available subject to teacher availability. Registration forms are available at the ARCC. Registrations can also be made over the phone by calling the ARCC at 626-7081 or online through September 7.
