Class Descriptions

  • Mommy and Me

    - Activities for the parent and child to participate in will be shared. Daddies are welcome too!
  • Creative Movement

    - Explores the world of dance through music and movement. Ages 3 & 4
  • PreSchool Dance

    - Introduces the students to a world of dance through a variety of styles along with a basic introduction to ballet. Emphasis on gross motor skills, flexibility, cooperation, creativity, and self-confidence is present in every class. Ages 4-5
  • Kindergarten Dance

    - Quicker paced than PreSchool Dance, this class works on primary ballet skills and more dance concepts.
  • Company Ballet

     - This is a serious class for those students who wish to take their studies to a higher level of technique and artistry. Admission to this class is by audition only. Students must also be enrolled in ballet and pointe. Grades 9 and up.
  • Ballet

    - Proper posture, turnout, technique, strength and balance are emphasized. Classes for grades 1-12
  • Ballet Technique

    - These classes are for the serious ballet student to promote the development of strong technique, artistry, and quality of movement as well as further their knowledge of ballet. The Cecchetti syllabus will be used and the students can use these classes to prepare for optional Cecchetti exams. Grades 5 and up.
  • PrePointe-

    For those who are interested in participating in Pointe classes. This class will prepare the student for the extra strength needed with Pointe work. Students must also be enrolled in two other ballet classes, or a ballet class and a ballet technique class. Students will be assessed for the proper strength and technique before being allowed to participate in further Pointe work. Grades 5-8
  • Beginning Pointe & Pointe

    - For those with Ballet training, admission to this class is with instructor permission only. Grades 7-12
  • Tap

    - Traditional technique as well as “street” tap are taught in these classes. Classes for grades 1-12
  • Company Contemporary 

     - This is a serious class for those students who wish to take their studies to a higher level of technique and artistry. Admission to this class is by audition only. Students must also be enrolled in jazz and modern. Grades 9 and up.
  • Jazz

    - Traditional technique in addition to other styles of jazz in upbeat classes. Classes for grades 1-12
  • Modern

    - Modern dance incorporates lyrical and contemporary styles of dance. Emphasis is placed on contraction and release and use of momentum, weight, rhythm and dynamics. Classes for grades 1-12
  • Clogging

    - Clogging is an American folk dance that combines precise footwork with loose upper body motion.  Grades 9 and up
  • Hip Hop

    -is a popular style of dance that originated on the streets and made its way into many dance studios and mainstream culture. It is improvisational in nature. Hip Hop dance cress often engage in freestyle dance competitions, colloquially referred to as "battles".  Grades 5-12
  • Acro-

     combines the gracefulness of dance with the tricks used in acrobatics. The dance movements in Acro are founded in ballet, jazz, and modern dance styles with some influence from Rhythmic Gymnastics. Grades 1-12
  • Broadway

    - From the sweetness of “Singin’ in the Rain” to the funk of “Fame,” some of our favorite dances come from Broadway. Each class will learn isolations and moves commonly used in jazz dance, and then put them into routines inspired by our favorite musicals of the stage and silver screen. Grades 5-12
  • Dance Exploration

    - This class is for students with developmental disabilities. Basic Ballet and Jazz will be taught. Ages 6-16
  • Adaptive Dance

    - Similar to Dance Exploration, but for older students and adults. Ages 16 and up
