Missouri River Feasibility Study

Access to quality water is essential to community growth.  In 2021, the City of Aberdeen committed to looking at options to bring additional, quality water sources to Northeast South Dakota as a building block to added economic development and continued growth throughout the region.  In June, the Aberdeen City Council entered into an agreement with Bartlett and West Engineering to complete a feasibility study bringing additional water from the Missouri River to Aberdeen.  Although this study was commissioned by the City of Aberdeen, the benefits of this endeavor could serve a much larger, regional population.  But for this to become a reality, multiple partners will be needed.  The study has been completed and is available below.
