Youth Classes

Registration Begins Tuesday, September 6 at 8:00 a.m.

Programs are filled on a first-pay, first-served basis, preregistration by the published deadline is required. Payment can be made by credit or debit card by phone or by check or cash in person. Whether this is your first time on a potter’s wheel or your twentieth, you’ll be able to add some more chunks of knowledge fodder to any growing skillset. Learn how to throw pots, vessels & containers, how to trim items made on a potter’s wheel. Then spend the last week glazing. Ages 13 - 17.

Learn how to throw pots on a potter’s wheel together with one of your favorite people! Class size will be limited to 4 pairs for individualized attention. Three weeks are devoted to working on the wheel; the last week will be spent glazing your creations. Come to class prepared to get dirty. For children in grades 2 and up with parent/guardian.

Kids ages 5 to 14 and their adult partner work together on projects using earthenware clay, and low fire glazes. The first three weeks will be dedicated to hand building, the last week dedicated to painting your creations with ceramic glaze. This is a great opportunity to spend time together while sharing a new hobby and plenty of fun memories.
Ages 5 and up with adult.

In this class you will learn about the foundations of video production. Including equipment, filming, lighting, sound, editing, graphics, and basic VFX. Class will take place in the YAPA Teen Center. Please use the YAPAtorium entrance. Ages 11-17.
