Arboretum Summer Activities
Star Party
A Star Party is a gathering of amateur astronomers viewing the night sky or people just wanting to know more about what they see in the night sky! Participants may bring telescopes, binoculars, finder/viewing scopes or nothing. We will spend the evening observing Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon and other deep sky objects together.
This is a drop in activity, but if you plan to come, call the Parks and Recreation Office to register at (605)626-7015. People can come for all or part of the time.

Kuhnert Arboretum Activities
The Kuhnert Arboretum is a park area meant to cultivate relations between people, trees, plants and nature, in a setting that provides opportunities for education and discovery. Bring your family and friends throughout the summer to enjoy kid’s activities in a relaxed and open environment. All ages are welcome, these kid’s activities are free and open to the public.

CONCERTS AT KUHNERT
Check out some great local musicians this summer with free concerts at the New Kuhnert Arboretum stage. Concerts will feature a variety of music and musicians throughout the summer. Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Tuesday night Activities. Make sure to watch our website and social media pages for any updates and additional performances.
