Registration for all Fall Classes will begin Tuesday, September 3. Programs are filled on a first-pay, first-served basis, preregistration by the published deadline is required. Payment can be made by credit or debit card by phone or by check or cash in person. Online Registration also available. All classes are subject to 6.5% sales tax. The programs provided by the ARCC encourage the community to experience and experiment with different artistic media, mediums, and methods. Involvement in the arts can open up a multitude of options for creative growth.

HAPKIDO-KOREAN STREET SELF DEFENSE


Practical hands-on applications for real-life situations. Gain self-confidence as you begin to recognize and put to use your basic survival instincts and natural reactions in potentially threatening situations. Students should wear clothes suitable for low impact exercise. Shoes will not be worn for class. Ages 14 and up.
Instructor will be Miss Charlene Blondo; 3rd Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo and Hapkido.

INTRODUCTION TO TAEKWONDO


Beginner basics of taekwondo including kicking techniques, striking techniques, tenets, and traditional martial art discipline in an upbeat and fun environment. Students should wear clothes suitable for exercise. Shoes will not be worn for class. Ages 6 and up.

OPEN STUDIO


The ARCC offers room to spread out to work on your own projects in an open studio setting with other artists. On each Thursday of the month, space will be set aside for those who would like to come in on work on projects. All supplies are to be provided by participants; however, some equipment such as paper cutters, glue guns and other items may be used upon permission. Open studio meets from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. each Thursday. Participants must check in with the front desk on studio location each week. Open studio participants must schedule an appointment for orientation prior to working in the studio.

ART BREAK - GUIDED OPEN STUDIO


Keep your mind and spirit healthy! Come to the ARCC for some drop in, DIY art therapy through self-directed activities! Studies have shown that Art can take your mind off of what is stressing you. The Open Studio sessions are not product oriented – just enjoy the process! Activities can vary from art journaling, coloring, creative drawing from pattern recognition, scrapping, zentangle art, and creative writing. Or work on your own projects brought from home, and work in a relaxing stress free atmosphere. Sessions meet weekly. Some supplies are provided for activities listed, or you may bring your own in! Remember – we aren’t concerned about creating works of art (although it may be a by-product), just the act of letting our activity take us away! Ages 18 and up.

ABERDEEN SENIOR LINE DANCERS


Line dancing is an excellent way to keep physically fit, build agility and exercise the memory. The
Aberdeen Senior Line Dancers meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at the ARCC at 1:00 p.m. for line dance
fun and socialization. An Aberdeen Senior Center Membership is required to participate. For more

BEGINNING LINE DANCE LESSONS FOR SENIORS

COUNTRY TWO STEP


The two-step is a basic dance move done by singles, partners and groups. This class will cover the basic two step as adapted to Country Music. Instruction will focus on the basic moves, footwork and turns. Get off your chair and onto the dance floor! Ages 15 and up.

PiYo is athletic training that is influenced by Pilates and Yoga.
