Registration for all Winter/Spring Classes will begin Monday, January 6, 2020. Programs are filled on a first-pay, first-served basis, preregistration by the published deadline is required. Payment can be made by credit or debit card by phone or by check or cash in person. Online Registration also available. All classes are subject to 6.5% sales tax. The programs provided by the ARCC encourage the community to experience and experiment with different artistic media, mediums, and methods. Involvement in the arts can open up a multitude of options for creative growth.


The ARCC offers room to spread out, and work on your own projects in an open studio setting with other artists. Weekly on Thursdays, pending other programming, space will be set aside for those who would like to come in to work on projects. All supplies are to be provided by participants; however, some equipment such as paper cutters, glue guns and other items may be used upon permission. Open studio meets from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. each Thursday through April. Participants must check in with the front desk on studio location each week.

Keep your mind and spirit healthy! Come to the ARCC for some drop in, DIY art therapy through self-directed activities! Studies have shown that Art can take your mind off of what is stressing you. The Open Studio sessions are not product oriented – just enjoy the process! Activities can vary from art journaling, coloring, creative drawing from pattern recognition, scrapping, zentangle art, and creative writing. Or work on your own projects brought from home, and work in a relaxing stress free atmosphere. Sessions meet weekly. Some supplies are provided for activities listed, or you may bring your own in! Remember – we aren’t concerned about creating works of art (although it may be a by-product), just the act of letting our activity take us away! Ages 18 and up.

It’s BACK – Open to artist and authors alike, come in and receive a prompt for inspiration and a

Receive a journal, fill it up with what peaks your artistic interests. Fill it with original artwork, daily
agendas, lists, poetry, magazine collages; the possibilities are endless! We’ll explore different artistic

What is a Zine? How do you make one? We’re diving into the world of self-published art booklets.
Design the pages and layout and watch it come together with a photocopier and staples! We’ll make
our own individual zines and come together for a collective class zine showcasing each participant’s

The two-step is a basic dance move done by singles, partners and groups. This class will cover the basic two step as adapted to Country Music. Instruction will focus on the basic moves of two and triple or polka step and waltz style dance, footwork and turns. Get off your chair and onto the dance floor!

Line dancing is an excellent way to keep physically fit, build agility and exercise the memory. The Aberdeen Senior Line Dancers meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at the ARCC at 1:00 p.m. for line dance fun and socialization. An Aberdeen Senior Center Membership is required to participate. Ballet is a beautiful, graceful dance that leaves your body feeling stretched and strong. Students of any age and experience are welcome in this class, tights and leotards are optional! Grades 9 and up.

PiYo is athletic training that is influenced by Pilates and Yoga.
