It’s time to get rid of negativity and live your best life. This year’s All Aberdeen Reads book selection, The Negativity Remedy: Unlocking More Joy, Less Stress, and Better Relationships through Kindness by local author Nicole Phillips. Everyone is invited to participate in the K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library’s All Aberdeen Reads, their annual One Book, One Community program. Read the book, take the Kindness Challenge, attend Virtual Author Talk and start conversations! The library has several copies of this book available for checkout. The Negativity Remedy is also available for purchase locally at Dacotah Prairie Museum, Ken’s SuperFair Foods, Karisma Boutique and Kessler’s Grocery.
The mission of All Aberdeen Reads is to promote literacy, cultivate intergenerational and multicultural discussions, and foster a sense of community by bringing people together through literature.
All Aberdeen Reads 2020 Events
-Kindness Challenge: Starting Monday, September 14th. Each week, participants are encouraged to tell us how they have been inspired by the kindness of others or how people have shown kindness to them. Everyone will have their name put in for a weekly prize drawing. Participants may post on the library Facebook page, email directly to the library, or come in to the library and complete a Kindness Challenge card. All Kindness Challenge stories will be displayed throughout the library.
- November 10th at 7:00 PM: Join us for a virtual event on the K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library’s Facebook page. Author Nicole Phillips will be talking about her inspiration for writing The Negativity Remedy, how kindness has changed her life, and the experiences readers have had after reading her book.
