This Community Room is a large meeting and activity space. Tables, chairs, podiums, and a piano can be arranged to accommodate a variety of needs. Equipped with state of the art audio/visual capabilities. Training for the use of these features is required before event date.
The reservation fee charged for this room to for-profit groups, businesses and other commercial entities is $60 per hour. Room reservations are not secure until payment is received by the Public Library. Fee payment must be received by the Public Library 5 days prior to the event date.
If food or beverages are going to be served in the rooms by any group, a refundable deposit of $50.00 will be collected on approval of the room application. The deposit must be cash or a check payable to the K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library with the name of the person or organization requesting the room, printed on the check. Deposits will be returned if the reservation cannot be confirmed or after the meeting upon inspection of the room.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance by calling the community room coordinator at 605-626-7097 or using the Reservation Cancellation Form on the library website to obtain a refund. The event will not be considered cancelled until the meeting room coordinator issues a cancellation notice. A for-profit room cancellation with less than 48-hour notice will result in forfeiture of the fee, unless the cancellation is initiated by the library. The 48-hour notice will be waived for weather related cancellations.
