Registration for all Fall Classes will begin Tuesday, September 3. Programs are filled on a first-pay, first-served basis, preregistration by the published deadline is required. Payment can be made by credit or debit card by phone or by check or cash in person. Online Registration also available.  All classes are subject to 6.5% sales tax. FICTION AND NOVEL WRITING


Whether you are new to writing or have a novel ready for publication, this class is designed for you. A mixture of workshops, lectures, writing prompts and writing discussions. The class material and content is built as we go, so classes are tailored to the needs of our writers. Come and join us! Bring your work in progress or story idea. CREATIVE WRITING FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL


Come learn the basics of creative writing or hone your spectacular writing skills. Whether you write poetry, short stories or long ones, whether you like to share your work or keep it private, and whether you know a lot or nothing at all about writing, you will come away from this class with the confidence and skills to write anything you choose! NEW! INTRODUCTION TO POETRY


Poetry is an exciting type of literature which arranges aesthetic and rhythmic qualities of language, allowing for expression of experiences, ideas and emotions in an imaginative way. In this Introduction to poetry class you will learn about different types of poetry; such as lyric, narrative, and satirical. You will collectively explore and implement; figures of speech, line breaks, poetic diction, poetic form, cadence and how to identify and implement basics of the craft with in your own works. WRITING WORKSHOPS


Come join us for a series of writing workshops throughout the fall semester. Sign up for one, two, or all three! Each workshop will focus on a different writing elements to keep a stories momentum going. Please bring work to share, even if all you have is an idea or an outline. We will discuss tips for writing during the first half of the workshop, and we will take a look at our specific work during the second half. Ages 16 and up.

ADULT DRAWING

Learn the basic techniques of acrylic pour painting to create your own dynamic abstract art. This fun and experimental class will explore mixing paint with pouring mediums, as well as the straight pour, traveling pour, and the dirty flip cup techniques. Ages 16 and up.

GOUACHE PLEIN-AIR LANDSCAPE PAINTING


Gouache painting medium is extremely versatile, blending the painting worlds of translucent watercolors, opaque acrylics, and oils. Ages 16 and up.

NEW! INTRODUCTION TO HAND LETTERING


Hand-lettering is the art of drawing letters instead of writing them. This fun workshop will cover the basics of hand-lettering, going over different lettering styles and pen techniques. Participants will be able to create inspirational quotes, find fancy new ways to decorate cards, and create stunning gifts for friends. No prior lettering experience is needed. Ages 16 and up.

COMIC CREATOR CLUB


Like making comic books? So do we! This club will meet once a month to talk about all aspects of creating comic books or comic strips. From writing to illustration, either traditionally or digitally. Anything related to the creation of comics is welcome. Creators can work in a positive like-minded group, and will have the opportunity to bounce ideas off of each other and receive peer critiques, and positive criticism. There is no charge for attending the Comic Creator Club. Ages 12 and up.
