Create a beautiful Georgia O’Keeffe style abstract butterfly wing pastel drawing. By magnifying the intimate details of everyday objects, one can appreciate the beauty, form and color; while learning different materials, techniques, and processes that relate to social, cultural, and historical context. Ages 14 and up.

INTRODUCTION TO SPECIAL EFFECTS


Have you ever wondered how movie magic happens? This hands on class will cover practical effects such as model making and bullet effects. It will also look at modern digital effects such as green screen and 3D animation. This will be an excellent hands on starting point for movie enthusiasts. Ages 11 and up.

OPEN POTTERY STUDIO


The pottery studio will be open for use during off-class times for practice with hand building, wheel throwing and other projects involving stoneware, chads bod, or earthenware clay. Clay fees include clay, glaze, and one bisque and glaze firings, (excluding alternative firings). Ages: high school students through adult. Open pottery studio participants must schedule an appointment for orientation prior to working in the studio, as well as sign in at the front desk, each time prior to utilizing the studio space.

ARTS FOR WELLNESS OPEN STUDIO


The Wellness Open Studio is a place to immerse yourself in creativity through Art Journaling, Coloring, Zentangle drawing or perhaps a project (painting, scrapbooking or sewing, etc.) to bring on your own! Some supplies available, otherwise bring your own. Ages 14 and up.
No charge. This is a drop in activity.
