About the Program

Safety Town is a fun, educational program designed to introduce children ages 4-6 to a wide variety of safety issues. Participants learn safe behavior through role-playing in simulated and actual life situations. Snacks are provided. Health care and public safety officials are guest presenters at Safety Town.

Activities include:
  • Art projects
  • Games
  • Poems
  • Role-playing
  • Songs
  • Stories
Safety Town will be held at the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center, 225 SE Third Avenue. Field trips will be held to the Aberdeen Fire Department, Avera St. Luke's Hospital and Storybook Land.

July 25-28 (Monday - Thursday)

Fee:

$25.00 plus tax

Session A:

9:00 am-Noon

Session B:

1:00-4:00 pm

Ages:

4-6 or entering Kindergarten in the Fall
