The K. O. Lee Public Library has started a phased reopening of its building! We will resume in-person operations and services in stages. Community rooms are not available at this time.
We are guided by the counsel of city, county, and state health officials as the well-being and safety of customers and staff are our top priority. Future updates will be posted here.
The drive up book drops are both open. Returned library materials must be quarantined for 72 hours as recommended by the CDC and ALA, before being given to another patron.
During this time, we will utilize our website and social media channels to share information, including updates on our reopening phases and tips for making the most of online library resources. We also encourage you to explore books, movies, shows, research tools, fall programs and more to download and stream.
We hope you understand that to interrupt our mission of providing access to information, ideas, and experiences is something we do only because we feel we have no other choice for the sake of public safety. Please stay safe, monitor your health, follow guidelines recommended by the Center for Disease Control and check for updates at the SD State Department of Health.
