Candy Monsters -- THIS SESSION IS FULL

Join us on October 22, 6 pm-7pm for a spooktacular Halloween crafting extravaganza! Use your imaginations to make a creepy, scary, or cute Candy Monster out of play dough, candy, and other craft items! Families are encouraged to attend this all-ages event together; registration is required. This event is free and supplies will be provided. Registration will begin on Monday, September 10th.


Read for the Record Day - Thursday, October 25th

Jumpstart’s Read for the Record brings together millions of people each year in classrooms, libraries, community centers, and homes across the US. This annual campaign was launched over a decade ago to highlight the importance of building early literacy and language skills for EVERY child, so that all children have the opportunity to enter kindergarten prepared to succeed. Read for the Record is being held this year on October 25th and this year’s book is Maybe Something Beautiful by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell. We will be reading the book during our Snuggle Up with Stories baby program at 9:30AM,1:30PM and a special reading for all ages at 4:00PM. We can’t wait to read with you!

Harry Potter Escape Room 

Thursday, December 27th, 1:00-8:00PM Registration required for ½ hour sessions. Registration begins Monday, November 26th. You need to come to the library to the Children's Room desk, no phone calls please, after 9:00 AM to sign up for your time slot on that day. You will receive a ticket for your time slot to bring with you to the event.

Participants register for a half hour time slot, up to 5 people per time slot. Participants will be read a short introduction then given 30 minutes to figure out codes, translate runes and search for clues to escape this Harry Potter themed room. Knowledge of the Harry Potter book series is preferred but even a common muggle can solve the room. Participants under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.


Christmas Pine Cone Elves

Join us on December 18, 6 pm-7pm for a holiday-themed crafting celebration! Create your very own Pine Cone Elf to decorate your home or give as a holiday gift. Families are encouraged to attend this all-ages event together; registration is required. This event is free and supplies will be provided. Registration will begin on Monday, November 19th.
